Meet Barbara and Claudio in Sorrento
We are Barbara and Claudio—partners in life and in work as full-time photographers. We love capturing candid, relaxed moments—the kind that last just a fraction of a second but say everything. Those genuine expressions of happiness and connection that are easy to miss, but mean the most. The kind of moments where you look at the photo and think, “yes, that’s really us.” Before photography became our full-time path, we followed different journeys. Barbara worked as a chef and in property rentals in London, while Claudio worked as a film assistant in Rome and later as a chef in London. Still, photography was always present in our lives through personal projects and creative work.

- Photography, for us, is about preserving moments that people will come back to for the rest of their lives. We love capturing real emotions—whether it’s the excitement and nerves of a surprise proposal, the joyful energy of a big family gathering, or the quiet, natural connection during a couple’s vacation. These are the moments that matter most, and being trusted to document them means everything to us. What makes us unique as photographers is how we balance planning with spontaneity. For surprise proposals, we work closely with our clients to carefully plan every detail so the moment unfolds seamlessly while still feeling natural and genuine. At the same time, we stay flexible and ready to capture authentic reactions as they happen. When working with large families or couples in more relaxed settings, we’re comfortable in dynamic, fast-changing environments. We know how to guide when needed, but also when to step back and let real interactions unfold. This allows us to deliver both beautifully composed images and candid, meaningful moments. Ultimately, our goal is simple: to create images that feel real, emotional, and timeless—photos that people don’t just look at, but truly feel.
- A photoshoot with us is easygoing, fun, and comfortable from the start. Barbara brings lots of energy, conversation, and humor, while Claudio adds a calm touch and often shares interesting stories about the Costiera along the way. We focus on making you feel at ease rather than thinking about the camera. Instead of rigid posing, we offer simple direction when needed and encourage natural interaction, so nothing feels forced. Whether it’s a surprise proposal, a couple’s trip, or a big family session, we adapt to the situation and the people in front of us. We pay attention to the surroundings, the light, and the little moments that make each session unique. By the end, it won’t feel like a typical photoshoot—it’ll feel like a great experience, with photos that reflect it.

More Information
In the mornings, Barbara & Claudio are available for all length shoots, but for evenings, they require a 60-minute minimum booking. ***Please note: Barbara is currently on maternity leave so Claudio will be shooting on his own.
