Reno dubbed itself as the "Biggest Little City in the World," and it has done much to live up to its reputation. While Vegas still holds the cards for gambling capital, Reno has a healthy dose of downtown neon and mid-century modern architecture to keep it interesting, and it's close enough to Tahoe to inject a little nature into the trip.
