Our Tokyo Honeymoon

Route: Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan
Travel Story
Tokyo has been on Jake's travel bucket list for a while and when we were deciding where to vacation for our honeymoon, Japan was always at the top of the list. Elizabeth had visited twelve years ago with her family and it is one of her favorite places. We rode the shinkansen down to Kyoto for a day, drove go-karts through Shibuya Crossing, went on a hanami picnic at Inokashira Park, and ended our week at Tokyo DisneySea. A week is not enough time!
Travel Tips
Put calendar alerts for when reservations open for all the activities you want to do. While it is easy to find places to eat around the train stations, take time to book reservations at places for some of your meals because decision fatigue is a real thing! We also highly recommend downloading the Suica mobile app and Google maps on your iPhone; Google maps will tell you how much the trains/subways will cost so you can always make sure your Suica card is loaded with enough money and you can tap your phone on the readers as you go through the turnstiles. If you are planning a day at Disney, we left at 8:45 am and arrived at the park close to 10 am without a line at the entrance.
