Travel Story
After an intense week of business school studies in Athens, Joe and I were ready to spend a few days relaxing and feasting on all that Santorini had to offer. We had a few things on our agenda but left most of our days open to exploration and possibilities. One of our favorite things to do as a couple is to rent a car, or take a backpack, and go off the beaten path. While Santorini's relatively small, we found so many cultural and culinary gems sprinkled all around the island. This is truly a paradise for the romantic and curious at heart!
Travel Tips
Joe and I stayed in Oia which put us in walking distance to a ton of great eats and fun little nooks to visit. Reserve dinner in advance to at least one amazing restaurant with a sunset view. Oia's jammed packed with options, so we opted for a corner table at Pelekanos on our first night, which was within eyeshot of the caldera as well. On our second day there, I surprised Joe with a private half day boat tour with Captain Panos aboard the Alex. Panos curated our nautical adventure with a killer playlist, made us a freshly cooked Greek feast, and topped it all off with a few glasses of wine. I can't imagine a more perfect day!
