Oktoberfest has been on my husband's bucket list since we first started dating over seven years ago. We decided to plan a 10 day trip to Europe that ended in Munich for the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. It was everything and MORE. We loved meeting new people, both locals and tourists. Together, we all drank too much, danced, sang, and had the time of our lives.
Travel Tips
Oktoberfest is so much more than beer tents! There are countless (awesome) rides at the festival, a ton of great food, and the opening weekend had impressive parades. Also, go ahead and invest in a dirndl and/or lederhosen! It makes Oktoberfest that much more fun when you feel like you fit in with the locals.
