Travel Story
We had been long overdue for our honeymoon and when we were able to finally go on our trip, we wanted to go somewhere special. We wanted to go someplace that we've both never been and decided to go to the beautiful island of Maui. We are a very active couple that loves to hike and explore but also to sit on a beach and relax. We got the best of both worlds- awesome views along the Road to Hana and endless hiking trails in Haleakala National Park along with stunning beaches for swimming and sun bathing. Our favorite memory was watching sunrise at Haleakala National Park- it was amazing!
Travel Tips
We highly recommend waking up early (like 3AM) to view sunrise at Haleakala National Park. We suggest doing this during the first few days of your trip before you've fully adjusted to the time difference. Don't forget to get your permit reservation to drive up early and bring warm clothes and a blanket for the top - it's very chilly! If your into hiking, we suggest packing a breakfast and then hitting the trails at the top. The views are surreal!
