Travel Story
It was mine, my husband, and kids' first time in Oahu - my parents have been before. We were in awe of the scenery. We split our week long vacation between the North Shore and Honolulu. Both had their perks. We loved waking up early and watching the sun rise, the laid back atmosphere, and how friendly everyone was. Everywhere we went was a different view of the mountains and the ocean - it was gorgeous. We took advantage of the fresh seafood and fruit! Everything we tried was delicious!
Travel Tips
We loved all the food trucks up in the North Shore and all the restaurants in Waikiki Beach. Would suggest getting a malasada from Leonard's Bakery, eating all the pineapple you can, and taking advantage of the fresh seafood! We enjoyed the Dole Plantation, the drive to Makapu'u Lookout and beach and the scenery once there. We ended up pulling over several times during our drive to and from the North Shore to take in all the views from the beaches along the way.
