Cafe L. Heiner is a great place to have breakfast. Love the old school decor & classic Viennese food/drink options. Feels a bit like being in a Wes Anderson film.
A highlight was seeing the Bergl rooms at Schönbrunn Palace.

We loved the Schonbrunn palace tour - our favourite part was the private concert with classical music & opera singers. It was phenomenal!

"Cafe Im Kunsthistorisches Museum" The biggest reason is that the interior is beautiful. I think this is the best place to soak in the afterglow after admiring wonderful works of art.
In any case, it is important to plan a long schedule in Viena. Vienna's cafeterias offer romantic, comfortable and relaxing moments. We do not recommend using it as busy as a tourist attraction.

Vienna is good for kids. You will find a lot of activities.
Demel was cool because of its history dating back to 1786!
The Schonbrunn Palace was beautiful, the grounds amazing and the rich history of the palace are so interesting!
It helps to learn a few German phrases like “please”, “thank you” and “no thanks”
Al Borgo - Italian. The servers are lovely and the manager is kind and personable.
Walking around and exploring the city. We also enjoyed the Albertina.
The Intercontinental Hotel was a lovely and romantic hotel!

Book tickets online and in advance! I wasted sooooo much time standing in the cold, waiting in line for admission. I’m looking at you National Library!
Our travel tip for Vienna In December would be to stroll around the Innere Stadt at night. It was so magical to see all the streets decorated at night and stumble across all the small Christmas markets throughout the city.
Favorite ice cream veganata
We really enjoyed walking through the Prater and the surrounding park. We rode a few rides and loved the view of the city from the top of the Ferris wheel. The surrounding park has lots of lovely walking trails. It was a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon.
We loved Naschmarkt - hands down our favorite thing that we did in Vienna! Check it out for great food, market vendors, and drinks!
If possible, stay in the Innere Stadt (especially when traveling with a baby). It is quintessential Vienna; everywhere you turn there's a picturesque alleyway and stunning architecture. It was really nice staying in the 1st District because we were walking distance away from many of the major sights, and a 5-10 minute walk away from our hotel so we could head back for nap time if needed. A tip for traveling to Vienna with a baby: we found that Vienna wasn't as stroller friendly as some of the other cities we visited on our trip, which is understandable since there's so many old buildings. So be prepared for your stroller to not fit in the tiny elevators. But make sure the ride is comfortable for your little one, there are a lot of cobblestone streets (which are great for rocking baby to sleep!).
Vienna is a big city with a lot of pockets of charm. If you cruise the Danube this will be one of the biggest cities you hit so don’t be surprised by that but instead do some research before you go and target some specific areas of the city to explore.
Schönbrunn Palace was our favorite place, it was mesmerizing to explore! I would highly recommend Vienna at Christmas time, it truly felt magical in the city.

We loved the restaurant Das Loft on the 18th floor of the Sofitel Hotel. The view of the city at night is incredible.

We were treated to an evening of music & art at the Belvedere Palace as one of our shore excursions with Crystal River Cruises. A private concert of Mozart & Strauss favourites, along with viewing Klimpt's works, it was an unforgettable evening.
