How did you meet?

It was kind of via a work event, each working in different professions but at same location one day. She scolded me / us for not booking appropriately and we ended up falling in love.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We had a planned trip to Seattle already arranged and felt it was the perfect opportunity to surprise her with a proposal. She’d be dressed up with hair done in a perfect back drop!

What is your proposal story?

It was tough to keep it a secret. I think it took a moment for her to realize exactly what was starting to happen.

How did you meet?

What is your love story?

Man oh man! We met on Hinge and I responded to her question "Can you dance?" I have two left feet unfortunately but was lucky enough that she still met up with me a few days later for dinner. It was an awkward dinner as I'm very shy. Buuuut she though I was good looking so she met up with me again. Later that week, we met around 2 for coffee and kept talking for almost 8 hours. We have a lot in common and share the same point of view on many things. All within the first week, we met four times and it kept that way from there. Maybe a month later, we were playing a game and I somewhat jokingly told her 'I love you.' I knew she wasn't ready but at that moment I knew I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We don't get too many opportunities to get out of town. We are not the happiest with where we currently live and Seattle is a place I have worked and am somewhat familiar with. Sarah helped me settle on Kerry Park as an excellent proposal spot. Plus, the love of coffee!

What is your proposal story?

The morning of, I suggested dressing up for a big dinner. She was unaware of most of the details for the day as it was also our anniversary making it easier to surprise her. As something of a different perspective, I took her on a helicopter tour of the area. I had seen plenty videos of people proposing this way and didn't want to do the same thing, but it helped to mask the surprise. We then drove to Kerry Park and walked the three blocks to get there. Once we arrived, she could tell I was acting strange, a little nervous happy. I took her to the spot I had chosen with the help of the Flytographer and popped the question! She had said yes before I was even able to finish asking!

Best tip for proposing in Seattle

Currently, it is very smokey compared to the many trips I had previously made. This was somewhat of a drawback but it will still be an unforgettable trip. Also, just be aware of the parking situation anywhere you go if you aren't used to it.

What is your love story?

It’s cheesy, but I knew Chloe was the one from day one. We were so comfortable together and connected with one another so quickly. I never had any doubts that one day I’d ask her to marry me

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Seattle was Chloe’s number one bucket list vacation destination. It only seemed right to make the trip even more special by proposing!

What is your proposal story?

The proposal could not have gone any more perfectly! The time and effort of planning and hiding the ring all paid off after Chloe said yes! She was a trooper for leaving her jacket behind on a blustery, chilly day, and fortunately forgave me! I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life!

What is your love story?

We met in 2012 through some friends who were both of our acquaintances. Our story like others had its ups and downs but we arent the type of people to give up on each other. We support each other when times are hard and always want the best for each other no matter the circumstance. A relationship can only succeed when you want your companion to truly be the best version of themselves and push them to be just that over the years. I knew she was the one for me when she stayed by my side when I was at my lowest and helped me over time to get back up stronger then ever. Thats what I love about her. She never gives up on me and genuinely loves me for who I am.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

PNW is one of Americas wonders. The weather, city vibes, and outdoor hiking and sightseeing made it my top choice for this proposal. Sunsets are truly beautiful.

What is your proposal story?

Kelly the photographer was amazing. She kept the energy alive during the photoshoot and was very friendly. The proposal went just the way I had expected. Smooth and enjoyable! Kelly gave us a gift of her own on this special occasion for us and we are very grateful for it!

What is your love story?

We actually met on Bumble, funny enough. Those apps work! Lauren and I just clicked. We moved in together after a year of dating. Got a couple dogs and a condo a little while later and then it was just a matter of place and time for when I popped the question.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I didn’t think she would expect it. That was key for me. I wasn’t going to do anything cliche or do anything that may lead her to believe it was coming up. We planned an impromptu trip to Seattle when we learned we only had a few months to use our Southwest credit. I had been waiting for the perfect time and I figured this would be it. I love Seattle and she had never been. It’s beautiful this time a year.

What is your proposal story?

Well, I had the time and location set with Chelsea, the photographer. We planned to do it at the Olympic Sculpture Park on the north end of the “wiggly waves,” as Chelsea called them. I just needed to get Lauren out there around 6! So, I set a dinner reservation next door to the park at AQUA by El Gaucho and told Lauren that reservations were at 6pm. It’s an early dinner but I played it off like that’s all they had. Then, as we’re waiting for our Lyft around 5:45, I pretend to get a call from the restaurant to tell me that they needed to push back or reservation 30 minutes because of a large happy hour crowd. I couldn’t believe Lauren bought this, but it worked. I also had to do this once Lauren was ready, otherwise she would’ve just taken longer to get ready. So, to kill time, I suggested walking through the sculpture park next to the restaurant and she agreed that would be nice. We approached the wiggly waves and I was a nervous wreck. I pretty much blacked out, but I recall spotting Chelsea looking all incognito like a Norma tourist. I knew it was game time. The plan was for me to take a selfie with Lauren and that would be the cue for Chelsea to know I was ready. Chelsea the friendly tourist then offered to take our picture with my phone. She set us up with the perfect backdrop, casually joking that she has done this before. Lauren didn’t see it coming. At that point, I got on one knee, chelsea pocketed the camera and pulled out her professional one. I don’t remember what I said and neither does Lauren. It was a wonderful moment full of happiness.
