Mestizo - great menu, great location
One of our best days was visiting three iconic wineries in Maipo Valley: Undurraga, Santa Rita, and Concha y Toro. We are big wine lovers and Chile definitely lived up to the hype! The people were all very friendly and the experience exceeded all expectations. The wines were amazing as well! On top of that, the food was phenomenal. We only had time to sample a handful of restaurants, but we had many incredible meals during our visit to Santiago. There are some very cool and unique markets to experience as well. Lots to see, and it really helps provide a flavor for the people and the culture of Santiago and Chile.
Mestizo is a must-visit for a romantic dinner in a beautiful park setting. There are also some lovely parks around the city for a leisurely stroll or a place to just enjoy some peaceful surroundings.
Even though it's been the subject of unrest, the BellaVista neighborhood is fun, funky and not to be missed!
Learn to speak a bit of Spanish (we knew almost none!!!). Learn at least a few key words and phrases.
