Sutro Baths & Land's End
History and scenic views | San Francisco, United States
For a different side of San Francisco, a more rugged one, head to this corner of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. From Lands End Lookout, you'll get postcard views of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Then, an easy trail leads you to the Sutro Baths, revealing wildflowers and more stunning views along the way. The site was once the world's largest swimming pool complex; today, the baths are a set of ruins that make for a unique scenic background. Note: while visiting the Sutro Baths, watch out for strong waves, tide changes, and rocky terrain.
