Ashley's Proposal Story in Provence

What is your love story?

Allie and I met in 2015 while we were both working for an education-focused non-profit in Philadelphia. A year later, we made things official. I knew from the start that Allie was someone who I wanted in my life forever, so what better way to make that happen than asking her to be my partner in life?!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Allie is obsessed with lavender (she even has a tattoo of it!). After doing lots of research, I knew that there was literally nowhere else more perfect in the world.

What is your proposal story?

Our photographer, Andrea, and I made a plan to tell Allie that we were going on a "tour" of the lavender fields one evening, and Andrea pretended to be our tour guide. After a small tour of a local town, we headed to the lavender fields, where Andrea asked if her and her husband, Cyril, could take some photos of us for their "tour guide website." Andrea set us up for an "artsy" shot where our backs were facing one another, and I knew that was my cue to get down on one knee. In the background, Cyril, through a hidden speaker, played our favorite song. Allie turned around and was completely surprised! Everything went off without a hitch!
