Oscar Wilde is a funky, fantastic location. There's all sorts of cocktails, mocktails, and seasonal paraphernalia hanging from the ceiling. It's part bar, part restaurant and somehow good for adults and kids alike. If you're looking for something decidedly different, this is your place!

Across from The Little Island is Chelsea Market. There's a series of global food stands, each spectacular in its own right, that are sure to fill you up. Also if you're looking for a souvenir distinctly New York that supports emerging artists and small businesses, head to Artists and Fleas, which is also in the building for a wide selection of kiosks full of on trend jewelry, art and clothing.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to New York City?

There's no bad age to travel with kids in New York City! There are plenty of age appropriate activities and restaurants throughout the city to keep them all entertained. It's been fun to watch my child grow up confident in navigating the city - since he was 3 he's had his own MetroCard for visits and I've taught him how to hail a taxi. Giving him these simple tools where he feels he owns part of the trip has made him dive into each new adventure in the city without feeling overwhelmed.

We loved Ellens Stardust Diner. The food was great and the environment was better. The staff sing and dance and are amazing! Such a fun experience for the whole family.

Anything on Broadway is perfection. We did a China town and Little Italy tour that was so fun!

Have some activities planned and booked ahead of time. Trying to adjust on the fly would be hard in NYC crowds.

Bleeker Street Pizza was so good and exactly what we were looking for, for a quick slice of pizza and in such a cute area of the city.

Try not to do too much. Definitely have a plan and itinerary to follow, but be ready to be flexible because kids have a mind of their own and different variables can impact the plan. In our case, it was the heat advisory and a medical emergency with our original photographer. We still had a great time and made the most of it because we were willing to be flexible.

Leo's Bagels in the financial district for lunch. Bagel options are dynamite and they were massive! Kellari Taverna on 19 W 44th St for greek food. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the food was incredible! Felt like we'd stumbled upon a hidden gem.

The Friends Experience. Empire State Building, especially with the bonus night time visit.

We loved so many! Birdland Jazz club was wonderful. Great food and intimate setting. Amazing jazz!! We loved SAGA, and Crown Shy. They are michelin Star rated. SAGA has great views!! For drinks and light bites you must go to Nubeluz in the Ritz Carlton!! Best Grilled cheese sandwhiches. The vibe is AMAZING. Mid century decor and amazing views. Ralph's coffee was fabulous!! Would make a great spot for photos! Bleecker street pizza is the best pizza I've ever had!! 10/10!

I loved on top of the roc at night! From our experience the best things to see, are things you don't plan for. DUMBO is a must!! So beautiful! Don't miss stopping by the NYC public library. The gift shop there is really neat!! Make sure you ask the locals like Uber drivers etc where they like to eat. Download the subway NYC subway app so you know which subway to take. We loved taking the dinner sunset cruise. Book your photo shoot! You WON'T be sorry!!

What is the best tip for celebrating your anniversary in New York City?

Most places do something for your anniversary or birthday. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and our 19th anniversary. They are only one day apart. St. Clouds gave us champagne and so did Serendipity 3. The Palm Court gave my husband a birthday cake for his birthday. It was AMAZING!!

We really enjoyed eating in Chinatown where you will find authentic Chinese food. We particularly enjoyed the soup dumplings which were a totally new experience. We also enjoyed eating at Chelsea Market which has every kind of cuisine imaginable!

Our favourite thing to do was a private boat charter on the river Hudson. It was such a special day and allowed us to get up close to the Statue of Liberty and appreciate the views of Manhattan from a different perspective. Would definitely recommend!

Apotheke - speakeasy bar in Chinatown. Cocktails are presented at prescriptions and each bartender wears a white doctors jacket. The entrance is just a wooden door with the words “Chemist” written on it. You’d miss it if it wasn’t for the bouncer sitting out front!

It’s hard to pick! The Fairfax restaurant around Greenwich Village got the best mussels for dinner if you are into seafood. They are amazing!

Empanada Mama on 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen serves the best sangria and Latin flavors. Definitely try the guacamole with plantain chips, arroz con pollo, and the pernil empanada. Even better, they're open 24-hours per day!

Even if you aren't going to see a Broadway show, go to the Museum of Broadway. You'll get insight into how the shows are put together and leave with a new appreciation for how talented everyone involved with theater is.

If you can just spend a day walking the streets, do it! We loved just exploring without set things to do. It allowed us to stop into some great random restaurants and shops. Bios Apothecary in Brooklyn is a super cool spot to create your own perfume scent. Great for anniversaries or a girls day!
