What are the best places to eat and drink in Maui?

Waikiki brewery in Lahaina. Beautiful view of the water to watch the sunset. Food and staff are great! The Thai food truck in Hana. I’d do the whole road to Hana again just for that pad Thai. We also loved the bar at the pool, Umalu, at our resort. We stayed at the Hyatt resort in Kaanapali.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

Calypso snorkel tour. 10/10 would recommend. The crew was great and really knowledgeable. Snorkeling was so fun and we saw a bunch of sea turtles.

What is the best tip for going on your honeymoon to Maui?

Tell everyone it’s your honeymoon. People were really nice and sometimes got a shoutout. We had to cancel and reschedule this trip three times due to the pandemic. It made it extra special when we were reminded it was our honeymoon... even after a year and a half of waiting.

What are the best places to eat and drink in Maui?

Da Kitchen had big portions and delicious food. The garlic noodles and the katsu chicken were amazing! We also loved Ululanis Shave Ice with the macademia nut ice ceam in the middle. The best shave ice I've ever had. Maui Matcha has such good and smooth matcha. The blue lotus was so good! South Maui Fish Company had the best fish tacos, with the fish being bigger than the actual taco!

Kahekili Beach Park had free beach parking and a shaded area for a big picnic area. The beach area was also a good spot for kids to play in the sand and run in and out of the water.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Maui?

Don't over plan with tourist spots and lots of driving. We would pick a beach/pool and spend as much time there. My kids loved just hanging out in the water all day and it was always the best not to stress about everything else.

We really liked Lineage in Wailea for dinner. They have interesting cocktails, mocktails and delicious food. It does get very busy so I recommend making reservations.

We really enjoyed the Maui Ku'ia Estate chocolate farm tour. It's really interesting to hear about how they created the growing environment for trees, seeing the pods growing on the trees, learning about the process of making chocolate and doing a tasting of all the different types of chocolate they offer. Maui Ku'ia also donates all their profits to charity so it's a wonderful business to support.
