What is your love story?

We met in college, but didn’t decide to date until after he had moved away post graduation. 2 years of long distance and now we’re engaged!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We have always been adventurous, so the ultimate adventure proposal felt like the only option. And there’s no better adventure than Costa Rica!

What is your proposal story?

We had just hiked 2.5 miles uphill to the Nauyaca Waterfalls. We started early and we’re the first ones to arrive. We celebrated with a dip in the falls! Then headed back to Quepos for a surprise engagement session!

What is your love story?

Maritza and I met in highschool. I was a sophomore and she was a freshman. We’ve been dating since then and everyday was an adventure filled with love, laughter, and jokes. Though we’ve been together for so long, it felt like college was the time we started to know what true love was and continued supporting each other’s ambitions. I knew I was ready last September and bought her ring on my birthday! It was challenging to hide the ring but for over 7 months I hid it in my safe and waited for the perfect moment. Which brings us to Costa Rica.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Costa Rica is a beautiful country. Maritza has told me before that she would prefer a proposal tied in with nature so a proposal with an ocean and jungle was my goal.

What is your proposal story?

I was very lucky to be able to have such accommodating hosts and team with Flytographer. The resort let us use their private beach for the proposal and they even drove our photographer (Mariana) down to the beach. They then picked us up and took us there after. Once we were there, Mariana was a “tourist” taking pictures and when I was taking a selfie with Maritza, Mariana came and asked if we would like a picture. She then offered to use her camera and “email them to us” so when she was having Maritza take the photos that’s when I kneeled down and proposed :) She was definitely surprised and a little suspicious but it played out so perfectly and I am so grateful for everyone playing a part in this plan.
