Venice Beach was extremely unique. I loved the Abbot Kinney street where you could find all sorts of amazing finds from The Rose Venice beach to other restaurants. I loved the array of shops, coffee shops, and Eggslut for breakfast!

My favorite thing to do was ride a bike along the boardwalk. Hang out to watch the sunset on Santa Monica pier. Also be sure to take the time to hike to see the Hollywood sign definitely a worth while hike.

What is the best tip for a friends' getaway in Los Angeles?

I would say plan transportation and renting a vehicle to get around. However, if you only have a weekend stay in Santa Monica and Los Angelas.

Manhattan Bread and Bagel in Manhattan Beach has the best sandwiches. All the breads and desserts are made in-house. Turkey and Gouda on black pepper parmesan bread is delicious! Onion bialie bagel with veggie cream cheese was a hit. It's an excellent place for casual breakfast or lunch.

What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?

The Point in El Segundo is a smaller version of the 3rd Street promenade in Santa Monica. It offers great food, shops, and a little play area for kids. During the summer, they have live music. North Italia has a yummy meatball sub. Parking is free!

We went to Terranea, where my 8-year-old and I went kayaking to tide pools. It was a blast. My 11-year-old and husband also went kayaking and fishing, and they enjoyed their adventure. You don't have to stay at the resort to take part in the activities they offer.

What are the best places to eat and drink in Los Angeles?

In Los Angeles, our absolute favorite dining experience was Lulu inside the Hammer Museum! The gnocchi was simply divine, truly a chef's masterpiece! For dining in Malibu, Geoffrey's is an absolute must for any celebration! Their outdoor seating boasts breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, perfectly complemented by their exquisite cuisine. After our photoshoot, Zinqué became another beloved spot. Their late hours were ideal for enjoying sunset views over the ocean before dinner, particularly during the summer months.

What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?

In Los Angeles, strolling through Beverly Hills charmed us with its quaint neighborhood vibe and lovely park! Exploring Malibu, we found La Piedra Beach to be incredibly beautiful, especially on weekends when El Matador tends to be crowded and parking can be challenging there. Point Dume also left us in awe, and we felt fortunate to capture stunning photos in such a picturesque location.

What is the best tip for celebrating your birthday in Los Angeles?

The grain-free cake from Sweet Laurel was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend visiting their charming storefront in the Pacific Palisades for a delicious treat. Additionally, the balloons we purchased from Bonjour Fete were perfect for adding a festive touch to my birthday celebration. Ordering ahead was seamless, and pickup on the day of the shoot was incredibly convenient.

The Point at the Bluffs was a hidden gem recommended by our photographer and it had breathtaking views of the beach and ocean. Loved exploring the Venice canals and shopping along the boardwalk. Of course we had to go to see the Hollywood Sign and Universal Studios is a must!

The Girl and the Goat in LA was phenomenal! We had eaten at their location in Chicago many years ago, and were pleased to see a location in Los Angeles. The ambiance, cocktails, and food menu were amazing. The service was also top-notch. Highly recommend checking out the Girl and the Goat!

Cycling along the boardwalk in Santa Monica was one of the many highlights in Los Angeles. The boardwalk stretched for miles, and it was beautiful to see the beach meet the ocean.

Book a stay at the Fairmont Miramar! It's a wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary. Make sure to book an oceanview room. We had views of the Santa Monica Pier and it was beautiful both day and night. The cocktails in the lounge are stellar. The food options on the property (Fig, SOKO) were amazing. We also loved the styling of the Miramar. The customer service was wonderful, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back!
