Aquasport in playa hermosa. Loved being beachfront and huge swing for the kids!

What are the best things to do in Guanacaste?

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Guanacaste?

We planned one small activity per day for 4 out of our 7 days (1/2 day fishing, surfing lessons, zip lining, waterfall) and then had pool/beach time. This worked great for us! Teens liked the scene and shopping in tamarindo.

Rajbinder's Travel Tips for Guanacaste

What are the best places to eat and drink in Guanacaste?

We loved dining at Ginger's Restaurant in Playa Hermosa. The food and service was amazing - we went back twice!

What are the best things to do in Guanacaste?

Make sure to check out the "secret" beach on your way from Playa Hermosa to Playa Coco. There's a green fence at the top of the hill on your right, pull in and tell the guard you are there for the beach. It's a bit of a hike down but it's a small white sand beach with crystal blue warm waters. Also make sure to check out the La Leona Waterfall! Hire a local guide when you there to take you on an adventurous hike to swim in a cave with a waterfall.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Guanacaste?

Pack sun shirts, sunscreen and water shoes for everyone to make sure you minimize sunburns for everyone. But there is so much to see and do especially for adventurous teens.
