How did you meet?

School

What is your love story?

We are from the same high school and we had our first talk at our high school cafeteria. We went to our senior prom together as just friends, and we finally started dating in our freshman spring semester at college. We have basically been long-distance for our entire relationship, but I know that Taylor is “the one” because she is the sweetest, most caring person in the world, she always makes my day better, and I love her very much.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We already had the vacation booked before I had the idea, and Ross Fountain looked like a great place to propose.

What is your proposal story?

We woke up very early because we wanted to area around the fountain to ourselves. I placed both of our phones down to take a video, and then I said “Why do you really think that I really got us up this early?” and then I showed her the ring box and proposed.

Best tip for proposing in Edinburgh

I would definitely recommend doing it in from of Ross Fountain early in the morning so that you have it all to yourselves. The view is perfect and the pictures will come out perfect!

Logan's Proposal Story in Edinburgh

What is your love story?

Carrie and I were introduced to each other through mutual friends. They knew both of us individually and thought that we would be a great couple and a perfect match. Although we were both timid and shy towards each other at first, our friends were right and we hit it off quickly. I knew Carrie was the one early on in our relationship. She is literally the sweetest woman in the world. She is kind, generous, understanding, and loves without restraint or judgment. She has been honest and sincere since the first day that I met her and all of these qualities are what made me fall in love with her.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Edinburgh seemed to be the perfect place to propose. The scenic views of the city paired with the natural landscapes of Calton Hill, as well as Arthur’s Seat in the background, made for a truly picturesque moment.

What is your proposal story?

This was our first time overseas and I wanted to make it special. So with the help of our mutual friends who would be with us in Edinburgh, the proposal had been planned for a couple months. We all walked through Calton Hill together and approached the Scottish Monument to Parliament. I was extremely nervous but confident at the same time. We took a group picture together with Arthur’s Seat behind us and then Carrie and I took a picture together. Our friends backed away and filmed from a distance. I handed Carrie a journal I had written in for her and then got down on my knee and began my speech to her. About halfway through my speech, a tourist wandered into the frame of photos and into the special moment. We couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. It truly relieved some nerves and made the moment even more memorable. As you can probably tell from the pictures, Carrie said yes! It was an incredible moment and I couldn’t have done it without all of the help from our friends, as well as Jilli and Flytographer. Thank you again!
