We loved the ambiance of the restaurants in Union Station. Parks Burgers Happy Hour was delicious and perfect for an early dinner before our photo shoot in the RiNo Arts District.
We loved the city, but also loved heading out of the city to the mountains! We took our photos at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and it was so beautiful to walk around! We also loved hiking to Alberta Falls, Emerald Lake, the Ute Trail from the Alpine Visitor Center, and driving Old Fall River Road.
Our kids loved everything about Denver! We kept our hikes reasonable and they loved exploring the waterfalls, Red Rocks, and hunting for wildlife. In the city, we toured the Hammond Candy Factory, checked out a Rockies game, played at Confluence Park, and stood on the Mile High Step at the Capitol Building.
Happy Camper - millennial vibes. Super fun and beautiful outdoor patio area with firepits and lawn games. 90's and 2000's music - delicious drinks and food. Yummy Hot Pot - bit of a hole in the wall, but that's how you know it's yummy. Individual bowls of hot pot, not just one big one to share. This makes it PERFECT for any vegans or picky eaters. Service was exceptionally slow, but the food was delicious. Maggiano's Little Italy - italian of course! Very romantic setting, excellent wine, servers that go the extra mile not just for food but for local recommendations to out-of-towners, and the food was top notch. Pricier than some but not the most expensive.
Denver Botanic Garden - incredible! Red Rocks - hiking or music venue, our favorite spot! Take a day trip (3hrs each way) out to Glenwood Springs and hike the Hanging Lake trail (advance reservations required)
Book yourself a place with a hot tub - especially if you're doing any hiking! It's the perfect way to end any day especially after hikes. And if it's allowed where you stay, being able to drink/smoke while relaxing after a long day is the best feeling.
There were so many it is hard to choose! My favorite breakfast spot was Denver Biscuit Company while for lunch / dinner I really enjoyed Linger and Breckenridge Brewing. I love these places because they were authentically unique to the greater Denver area and delivered some delicious food and drinks options.
Garden of the Gods & Red Rocks Amphitheater! These places were arguably some of the most incredible places that I had ever been to. The scenery was unmatched at both of these spots and the views were breathtaking.
Wear your sunscreen, hydrate your skin, and drink lots of water. The altitude change is no joke and the last thing you want is not to feel your best on your vacation!
The Block Distilling Co. off Larimer Street was an amazing spot to lounge about and enjoy truly well-made drinks using gin at the very spot it was being distilled at. Their cocktails were delicious, inventive, and their distillery is in a great spot for people watching too!

If you're traveling to the mountains during the winter, make sure to have all-wheel drive.
City 'O City. It's a vegetarian restaurant with the most incredible food and friendly staff. You gotta try the chicken and waffles that's made with fried cauliflower!
Walk around downtown and admire all of the art!
To make time for a drive or hike in the mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park is a beautiful place to disconnect for a bit.

Always wear good comfortable shoes. There can be a lot of walking.
Try to go to an event at Red Rocks Amphitheater! It’s like nothing else!

My favorite dessert in Denver is at D Bar Denver! I highly recommend the American Dream - so worth the sugar overload!
Stay at Garden of the Gods Resort and enjoy the amazing views of the park and Pikes Peak from their infinity pool
