On the southwest of downtown Denver, near the neighbourhood of Ken Caryl, sits South Valley Park, an extensive valley with exposed red rock formations and meadows. Venture into one of the six trails that cut the park to admire the scenery and spot the wild life. It includes elks, deers, and countless bird species. Since the terrain is mostly smooth, it's also great for biking and running, and there's a delightful bonus: the trails are pet friendly. With incredible views of the valley, the Coyote Song is a local’s favourite and lovely during sunsets.
