With a spectacular transition from beautiful plains to dramatic peaks, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, south of Colorado Springs, is Colorado's crown jewel! Explore miles of uncrowded, easy trails featuring diverse ecosystems and great opportunities for wildlife watching. The views of the mountains and extensive grasslands are unmatched. You can also find a picnic table along the way to relax or head to the park's scenic rock-step amphitheatre. Note: The best time for photos is near sunset. The trails are easy, but it's a good idea to wear comfy shoes. The park requires a $10 vehicle pass.
