What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Cancun?

Bring snacks. Plan on grab and go breakfasts if you do tours, since most leave between 7-7:30am. Bring reef friendly sunscreen. Most cenotes require life vests and provide them, but water shoes are a good idea too.

El Fritas Fritangas Pescadillas Restaurant Bar. We loved their nachos, calamari and risotto. Our table was right on the beach and very close to the beach with the best view. It has the coolest vibe and family friendly restaurant.

Our day tour to the hibuki, chichen itza and an afternoon visit walking around Valladolid trying local food, and experiencing local culture. As a family, our favorite was hanging out at the beach in front Of our hotel. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort so we were never hungry.

We flew on a red eye flight. So when we arrived the airport wasn’t crowded and once we were checked in, we were ready to explore and get the started with our day.

All the things we read online about travelling to Cancún with a baby was to book an all-inclusive. While there were great moments, it wasn't the best experience for us. So our tip is to go somewhere more relaxed and laid-back and independently plan your trip instead - get a glimpse of local life and experience the real Cancún, not just the hotel or resort! ;)

Our favorite activities included attending Selvatica Park,(ziplining, ATVs, and cenote swimming) taking a snorkeling boat tour to Isle Mujeres, and taking a taco and tequila tasting tour in downtown Cancun.

Definitely try to book a sunset boat tour before you go to Cancun. There are many to choose from on the internet and in our opinion, this is a "must do" to have a special romantic experience in Cancun.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Emporio! All of the restaurants and bars at the resort were delicious and conveniently located within the hotel. The swim-up bar at the pool/hot tub was our personal favorite!

El Fogón because it had the BEST authentic tacos. Great prices and drinks. I highly recommend the el pastor tacos and the strawberry margarita (not listed on the menu).

A tour of the Mayan Ruins with Amigo Tours (Chichen Itza English Tour, Buffet Lunch, Cenote,Tequila tasting & Valladolid). It was amazing to learn so much and swim in the CENOTE!!! WE also LOVED renting a private boat with Tulum Charters. We got to snorkel, drink, eat good food, dance to music, and enjoy scenic views as a family.

We booked Happy Shuttle Cancun for round trip transportation from the airport and hotel. It was so easy and inexpensive! And the plus side to it is that it is a private shuttle, so you are not sharing it with anyone!

We did an all-inclusive at Hyatt Ziva. It was everyone's first time as a group of girls to Mexico. We never felt safer! From the pool, food, and all the activities the resort offers, you really wouldn't need to go anywhere else!
