Anna's Travel Tips for Berlin

What is your best overall travel tip for Berlin?

My top travel tip for Berlin is to be open to the possibilities and buy a week pass on the BVG. If you ask any local what they would recommend, they will give you their opinion and you should explore their recommendations. My recommendations would be go to RAW Gelande, Markthalle Neun and Tajikistan Tea House for a warm cup of tea.

Rebecca's Travel Tips for Berlin

What is your best overall travel tip for Berlin?

The must do attractions in Berlin are as follows: climb the Berliner Dom, eat at the rotating restaurant at the top of the TV Tower, tour Charlottenburg Palace, and see a show at Friedrichstadt-Palast. Another great idea is to tour the Reichstag building. There is a rooftop restaurant (must be booked in advance) serves a fabulous breakfast and you get great views of the city from there. The tours of the building itself is free and there are tours in English, Spanish, and German. Be sure to book early though, because they only allow so many people on each hour and a half tour per day. Inside there is a wonderful mixture of historical and modern.

Melissa's Travel Tips for Berlin

What is your best overall travel tip for Berlin?

Berlin is a big city but it is very child-friendly. So much history to soak in yet a vibrant progressive culture awaits. Venture outside Mitte and explore some of the more quaint neighborhoods like Charlottenburg. If traveling with kids, be sure to visit some of Berlin's amazing Spielplatz (playground). Don't spend your entire trip eating German food, Berlin offers amazing international cuisine from all over the world.
