We absolutely love „Endless Summer Beach Bar & Pizza“ at Praia da Luz. We love their açaí bowls for breakfast or pizzas for dinner after a long day of exploring. Being directly on the beach, it allows us to have a drink while our toddler plays in the sand - a win win! Luz is such a cute town with a laid back vibe.
We love all the beaches, cliffs, and hikes in Algarve. For a long beach stroll, we love „Praia dos Tres Irmaos“, for surfing we love „Praia do Tonel“, „Ponta da Piedade“ for the sunset, and „Marinha beach“ for the views.
We absolutely love traveling with kids to Algarve and always come back here. When doing cliff hikes, it‘s important to know your kid‘s limit. We always carry our toddler on the shoulders to enjoy the views without worrying!
Prep your day the night before! Bring snacks! Especially if your kiddos are picky! The grocery stores are perfect for shopping - especially for hot meals if you don’t want to cook, you just need to shop around for the best prices! Be prepared for no bathroom access in the winter on the beaches, if there is a bathroom! Bring jackets and always a change for warmer clothing, you never know what part of the Algarve is going to be warm, cool and/or windy!
So many to choose from at the Vila Vita Parc Resort and Spa but specifically, the Wine Cave. It is, quite literally, a hidden gem, but with 11,000 bottles of wine located 8m below the ground and a knowledgeable sommelier, you are in for a treat. Other favorites: Ocean, Aladdin and Arte Nautica for a fabulous octopus dinner :)
The local beaches and a day trip to Lagos and Sagres with traditional lunch. Also, Ponte da Piedade is a must for anyone visiting the Algarve.
Sagres Vacations, based out of Fall River, MA was our trip planner and without their guidance and expertise, I’m not sure we would have had the 5-star experience we did. I have mentioned Flytographer to the agency, so hopefully they can share this type of experience with other clients as well.
