Commercial Shoots
What is a commercial shoot? Although the photos and packages technically look the same as our standard personal photo shoots, the difference lies in usage and licensing.
Our standard shoot packages (like vacation shoots) include a license for personal use only of the photos. This means you are welcome to share your Flytographer photos across social media such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, print them for personal gift photo books or for framing on your wall, or turn them into fun gifts for friends and family, like on a photo coffee mug or puzzle.
If you are looking for Flytographer-style photos to use for commercial purposes, whereby your product or brand is being showcased, promoted, or sold, you must purchase the commercial licensing rights for your photos through one of our commercial packages.
What's Included
- Session with photographer. Our photographers specialize in natural light, outdoor photography, and typically shoot without flash or other lighting equipment.
- High quality, downloadable digital photo files. Deliverables include your package number of images edited as a high-res (2200x3300px) digital jpg file.
- Light editing. Photographers will provide basic editing, such as colour balance and cropping.
- The best of the best photos from your session. Our photographers only edit and send the best photos from your time together, to help them focus on the shots we know you'll love!
- Commercial rights. You are purchasing a license that gives you the right to use the photos for commercial use. As the creator, our photographers always retain copyright of their images.
- The use of your photos without directly crediting your photographer. For public personal use, such as posting on social media, we ask our customers to credit their photographer in writing. With a commercial package, this crediting is not required.
What's Not Included
- RAW files. To protect the work of our photographers, under no circumstances are we able to provide RAW format files.
- Photoshopping or extensive editing. Our photographers will complete basic editing on your final photos, such as light editing and cropping, but do not provide any photoshopping or extensive editing. Note that you are responsible for your wardrobe choices, so please be sure that you have checked for fit, transparency in daylight, and taken the weather into account.
- Copyright of the photos. With no exceptions, our photographers always retain copyright of their images.
- Every photo from your session. We know that it can take dozens of snaps to get exactly that perfect version of a shot. We cannot ask our photographers to edit or provide every photo taken.
- Lighting, backdrops or props. Our photographers specialize in outdoor, natural light photography. Additional lighting, gear, styling, backdrops, or props cannot be provided.
- Professional Videography. At this time we cannot offer any professional videography services during your commercial photo shoot.
- Makeup artists or hair stylists. While our photographers may be able to recommend a contact in the industry, we cannot guarantee this suggestion and cannot assist in the coordination of any makeup artists, hair stylists or other estheticians.
Commercial Shoot Pricing
Pricing for our commercial shoots are typically double that of our standard personal use packages and start at $570 USD for a 30-minute outdoor session with a guaranteed 15 photos. For your custom quote, submit a request below and our concierge team will get back to you as soon as possible.
