“I had been living in Madrid for a few months before deciding to do a photo shoot. I’ve been volunteering at a foster home since September through a bridge year program at my university. I wanted photos in my favourite places in Madrid, the Retiro and the Lavapiés neighbourhood, so instead of choosing a traditional photography studio, I chose Flytographer!

“The Retiro has been my place to relax, read, write and picnic during my year here – it is so peaceful and beautiful. Lavapiés has a fantastic mix of people from diverse backgrounds (meaning food from all over!), artists, unique restaurants, boutiques and murals. It’s a part of Madrid that one doesn’t see as a tourist and exploring it has been a highlight of my experience. Don’t be afraid to wander when in Madrid. I found some of my favourite places just by exploring!” – Rebeca
