1. Banff, Alberta
Located on the west coast of Canada, Banff is a lavish resort town most famous for the Banff National Park, which offers incredible views of crystal clear blue lakes, thick green forests, and the white mountain tops of the Rocky Mountains all year-round – as long as you don’t mind the snow!
If you aren’t into skiing and prefer milder temperatures, visit in the summer when you can take a canoe across the iconic Lake Louise, surrounded on all sides by those majestic mountains!

2. Boulder, Colorado
Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the beautiful city of Boulder is packed with museums, cafes, art galleries, and world-renowned restaurants. Plus, it’s just a stone’s throw away from some truly majestic mountain photoshoot opportunities.
Boulder is known for several unique and stunning landmarks, but if you’re on the hunt for world-class photos, be sure to check out Lost Gulch Overlook, a picturesque spot high up in the mountains that’s perfect for photos, proposals, and even weddings. 3. Zurich, Switzerland
Zurich is a city full of dazzling fairy-tale-like architecture, chocolates, mouth-watering restaurants, and plenty of cultures. Not only is the city itself a marvel, but it’s surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Take a trip to Uetliberg, a mountain just outside of Zurich, where you can capture a 360-degree panoramic view of both Zurich and the Swiss Alps.
📸 Pro photography tip: Look for unique angles. While snapping a pic straight on will give you a traditional image, don’t be afraid to experiment with other angles to capture a unique view of the mountains and your subjects!

4. Honolulu, Hawaii
Located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii’s capital city, Honolulu, is known for phenomenal restaurants, shopping, white sand beaches, and two mountain ranges made up of extinct volcanoes: the Koʻolau range to the east and the Waiʻanae range to the west.
If you’re looking for amazing panoramic photos of the steep Koʻolau cliffs and lush Windward Coast, don’t miss the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout, located over a thousand feet above the Oahu coastline and surrounded by mountain peaks blanketed by clouds which makes it a stunning spot for a mountain photoshoot.

5. Reykjavik, Iceland
The capital city of Iceland boasts hot springs, waterfalls, and landscapes that make you feel as though you’ve just set foot on a completely different planet.
Case in point: don’t miss the chance to snap some unforgettable photos in The Rauðhólar (Red Hills), which are remnants of a group of pseudocraters that are about 5,200 years old. Nothing says “amazing photo opportunity” like geysers and lava fields! 🌋

6. Park City, Utah
A year-round resort town, Park City is located on the back of the Wasatch Mountains, which rise over 10,000 feet!
If you’re going to take photos anywhere, check out the Bonanza flats. Mostly inaccessible in the winter due to the massive amount of snow the Wasatch Mountains get, this place makes for a beautiful mountain photoshoot in the spring and summer when the rolling hills are covered in lush green trees and wildflowers. Or visit in autumn when the leaves start to turn. 🍃🍂🍁

7. Sedona, Arizona
Sedona and its surrounding area are packed with awe-inspiring photo opportunities. Known for its iconic red rocks and panoramic views, Sedona is not a spot to be missed. While you’re here, be sure to capture some Instagramable magic at Horseshoe Bend at sunset, and, oh yeah, snap some pics at the Grand Canyon too!
📸 Pro photography tip: Pay attention to the lighting of your environment and adjust your shutter speed accordingly. Brighter days call for a faster shutter speed to capture sharp images without overexposing them. If it’s darker out, use longer exposures to let more light in.

9. Cape Town, South Africa
One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town is full of immaculate coastlines and magnificent mountain ranges – it even has penguins! Don’t miss Signal Hill, a flat-topped hill that provides stunning panoramic views of the majestic Table Mountain, the ocean, and the city below.
