💕 How they met

“We grew up down the street from each other. We started as childhood friends and we started dating at the beginning of high school. We went to college together at UW-Madison and following graduation, we then moved to Chicago. We are each other’s best friend and couldn’t imagine growing up and living the rest of our life with anyone else.“ – Drew

💍 Proposal story

“We had the most perfect day exploring Varenna and Bellagio. We returned to Varenna for cafe and drinks at the Villa Monastero Gardens and sat at a bench to watch the sunset over the lake. I handed her a few handwritten letters so we could reminisce on the last 9 years of our relationship. We then walked to the beach (that I had planned to propose and meet the photographer at) and handed her the last letter that ended with “Will you marry me?” and got down on one knee!’“ – Drew

💡 Tip for proposing in Lake Como

“Have someone local to the area (like a Flytographer) scout out possible locations because it is hard to predict how crowded areas will get. Try not to pack your day with visiting too many cities on Lake Como—stick with 1-3 because lines for the ferries can get long and there is so much to see in every city so take your time walking around, see some gardens and take in the views. Either propose in the morning or around sunset because the crowds get larger near the middle of the day.“ – Drew

“Matt was an excellent communicator throughout the whole process. He made sure the proposal was exactly what I envisioned while also kindly volunteering his expertise as he has lived in and learned about the city for 25 years. He was quick about making slight location changes to make sure the proposal had the best view and was private away from crowds. As for the photos, they were better than we could have imagined. He made sure we were comfortable with poses and relaxed throughout the shoot by being so kind and funny! Matt was the best!!“ – Drew

Confessions of Love by the Sea | Maui, Hawaii

💕 Love story

“We met at a bar in San Francisco where we were both out with a friend, and we got to know each other and bonded over BLACKPINK (it was right after they had performed at Coachella). On our first date we met up for shabu, and on our third date we went to the deYoung Museum to see a Monet exhibit. We share similar interests and it felt easy to get to know each other and begin falling in love as we continued to spend time together. Two months later, we took our first trip together to Maui where we professed our love for one another.” – Emily

“I decided to propose in Maui because it was where we had first verbalized our love on that very first trip we took together five years before. We started the day watching the sunrise above the clouds in Haleakalā National Park. In the evening, I took Stacy to the cliffs at Kapalua Ironwoods where I’d arranged to meet Marie, our amazing Flytographer, who pretended to be a helpful tourist taking our photos. I did mess up and couldn’t get the ring out slyly enough so waited until after I got my phone back from Marie and pointed out to the ocean for Stacy to take more photos before getting on my knee and proposing!” – Emily

“Marie is amazing! She’s so kind and put us at ease during our photoshoot, and went above and beyond what I expected. Her photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. We love looking back at our engagement shoot photos. It makes us feel overjoyed, remembering the relief after proposing and then the thought of spending the rest of our lives together. It makes us so happy to have these memories in such a beautiful setting with the love of our life. A Cliffside Hike Turned Proposal | Cinque Terre, Italy

💕 How they met

“I knew Paige was ‘the one’ early on after meeting her. I immediately felt a connection, and as we spent more time together and learned more about each other, I realized that we operated in the same frequency. We have so much in common and our differences complement each other perfectly. But I knew she was ‘the one’ when I would think about taking the next steps in our relationship (marriage, kids, the rest of out lives) I never had a single ounce of doubt.“ – Justin

“Paige is incredibly smart and I’m terrible at keeping secrets, so I suspect she had an idea of what I might have been planning. But she didn’t know when/how I was going to do it. Once we got to Vernazza, I suggested we take a small hike up the side of the hill to get a few of the town. Once we got up there, I spotted Gaia (our photographer) ready at the proposal spot. When we approached, I sent the signal by attempting to take a selfie of Paige and myself. Gaia then came up saying she was a photographer/tourist waiting for a family to arrive and offered to take a picture and send it to us. At that moment, I pointed up the mountain path and said to Paige that we were going to continue our hike a little further up. When she turned to look up the path, I got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry me.’“ – Justin

“Gaia did such an incredible job with our engagement shoot!! We could not be happier with how the photos turned out. This was our first time taking professional photos together and Gaia did an amazing job of making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. A DOUBLE Proposal at the Belem Tower | Lisbon, Portugal

💕 How they met

“We met about 4 years ago while doing some volunteering work in the city during covid. She immediately caught my eye with her smile and general loving energy. I fell in love instantly. We started seeing each other more and more, and we quickly spent every day together. She moved in only a couple of months later, it wasn’t easy at first because we were both in school and didn’t have a lot of money but we kept going and I’m really glad we did. I knew she was the one not long after the start. She is kind, generous, funny, and overall the most amazing person I’ve ever met. She makes me want to be a better person each day. I’m much better with her than without her, she is everything that I’m not, and I will cherish the moment I met her for the rest of my life!“ – Thomas

“I told her that we had to go get pictures by the river for our 4-year anniversary. She agreed right away. I had the ring with me for the past year and a half, and have been planning this proposal for months now. Turns out she knew everything from the start because I’m not very good at hiding things. She did play the part to make sure she didn’t ruin my surprise, but she’s way too clever and knew what was about to happen. What I didn’t know was that she was gonna propose to me at the same time. I WAS SPEECHLESS. She knows how to keep a secret for sure. All around it was an amazing day that I will remember forever!“ – Thomas

“Wow, what can we possibly say about Ana Lucia other than WOW!!!! She was kind and funny, she knew how to make us comfortable, and she was super responsive throughout the process. We had an amazing time with her. It felt easy from the start. It was our first photoshoot ever and we wouldn’t hesitate to book a second one with Ana at any time. We absolutely LOVE the pictures they came out beautiful and we didn’t have to wait 3 weeks for them. She gave them back to us in 2 DAYS!!!! We can’t recommend her enough. She was the absolute best. Frozen Fingers, Melted Hearts Forever | Reykjavik, Iceland

💕 How they met

“The unconditional love Kassidy showed me through 4 years of dating was remarkable. Her love for me was so obvious and I could not help but feel the same. That love is reflected in the way she treats me and that speaks volumes. On the day-to-day, when I realized how much I missed her presence, (even though she would only be gone for a few hours), would be a defining moment.“ – Chiron

💍 Proposal story

“Kassidy always wanted to see the Northern Lights. When we first started dating she had a trip planned to Iceland, but I was not working at the time, so she spent her savings dating me. We planned a trip to finally see them and then I added an extra memory. I told Kassidy we had a “tour” planned at Rauðhólar in Iceland (beautiful red rock formations). That tour wasn’t really a tour, but a secret photo shoot. We met our photographer Ernir and strolled along to “the spot” and Ernir then said out loud (paraphrased): You Two look great, let’s get some photos. Then I got down on one knee and Kassidy instantly started to cry with tears of joy. It was a wonderful moment we will remember forever.“ – Chiron

💡 Tip for proposing in Iceland

“DRESS SUPER WARM IF DONE IN WINTER. We come from Washington/Oregon so we understand cold to a certain level, but not like this. It was roughly 15 degrees Fahrenheit with rough winds (wind is what really got to us). We booked an hour worth of photos and by the end of it we couldn’t feel toes, hands or nose (worth it)!“ – Chiron

Friends Aid in Planning the Surprise | Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

💕 How they met

“We were introduced to each other at a company party by my boss and hit it off immediately and spent the entire night engrossed in conversation. We dated for several years content in our relationship before getting engaged. We grew closer over the years and became best friends. At that point I felt a strong desire to make us officially a family.“ – George

💍 Proposal story

“Melissa had no idea it was coming. I set it up for the last night of our 6-day vacation. I decided I wanted to use some props so Luis helped set up bottle of champagne, a vase of flowers and planted roses and lights in the sand surrounding the blanket on the beach. We walked down the beach with our best friends (who were on vacation with us) towards the props and someone jokingly said, “It must be for you guys.” We all started laughing like he was crazy. Melissa still had no idea it was for us. We stood around talking and looking at the Arch for a couple min before I grabbed her hand to walk towards the end of the beach and suddenly stopped by the props and told Melissa to check it out. After I moved her into position on the blanket so the photographer (hidden in the rocks beside us) could get a good angle to the proposal, I dropped to one knee. The expression on her face was priceless (she said YES) and was the highlight of my vacation and something I will remember the rest of my life.“ – George

Locks of Love in the City of Amour | Paris, France

💍 Proposal story

“We were here in 2019 and added a lock to the bridge. As soon as we discussed going back this year, the lightbulb went off in my head. I knew the lock had been removed for several months now but still thought that bridge was a part of our story and meant a lot to us both. I told Chris I booked a cooking class near the Louvre on Friday. As Chris realized the lock was gone he turned around and I was on one knee and proposed.” – Brian

💡 Tip for proposing in Paris

“We took our photographer’s advice: if you pick somewhere where tourists might be, early is better. We shot around 10:30 am and the bridge didn’t have many people on it, later in the day it was quite crowded. Do it Early!!!“ – Brian

“We always had eyes out for each other since we met but took a long time to figure out that the other side was mutual. We flirted in our own ways without either side figuring out and being comfortable enough to fully commit to the idea until I realized it had to be her and I didn’t want to waste more time or opportunities.“ – Gabriel

“Ivy’s dream vacation has always been Greece, she loves the waters and natural beauty of Greece especially. I wanted to make her dream of visiting come true and my dream of marrying her come true at the same time! We got to the Temple of Poseidon and I let my girlfriend tourist it up and take photos to keep her busy while I was talking to my photographer about when and where. We found an empty spot looking over beautiful waters and I knew it was the spot my girlfriend would most love too. It was time to finally take the knee.“ – Gabriel

“Marie was very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable during the whole shoot. We were able to do big group shots as well as mini sessions with various people in the group. Marie was also mindful of the elderly in our group so she made sure to give them plenty of time to rest. I just love how candid the photos are! Celebrating 2 Years of Cancer Survival | Cancun, Mexico

“This trip meant so much to me as this trip marks the day exactly 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with advanced Cancer. I was so sick that I didn’t think I could travel again. I personally cherish each time I get to experience a new place with my husband and kids. Nothing could ever beat seeing my girl’s eyes lit up as they get to see, experience and taste local food in a new city. It is our first time in Mexico so we decided to head to Cancun upon hearing a lot of wonderful things from family and friends who have been here.“ – Annette

“Our children live in different cities, which makes it hard to get everybody together for “quality family time” in a relaxed environment. Many of the times we have gotten everybody together, it was for large events, such as funerals and weddings, and we would always be rushed to meet specific timelines, instead of just being able to “hang out.” We were given a very generous opportunity to be able to take this vacation in Maui, and we jumped at the chance to be able to get all of the family together, without any restrictions of pre-set schedules.“ – Lori

“My husband and I are getting “up in age” and have regrets that we never took the time to schedule a nice family portrait with our parents and their grandkids before it was too late. Now that we are blessed to be grandparents, it became a top priority to make sure we capture the memories of this very special “family time” in beautiful photographs that we can look at forever.“ – Lori

“This fall, we chose Nice for our trip, and it was the perfect destination! Between the stunning location, incredible museums, beautiful beaches, and festive Christmas markets—not to mention the easy train access to nearby towns—it checked all our boxes. Having visited in 2018 and 2021, I couldn’t wait to share my favorite corner of the world with my husband and kids. Fall turned out to be an amazing time to visit—while some stores and restaurants were closed for the season, it made exploring so much more relaxed with fewer crowds.
