In our best attempt to narrow it down to just a few, we have chosen 5 epic Paris proposal stories (in no particular order), that will make you smile, laugh, and possibly shed a happy little tear!

Since I’ve began dating Ally, pictures of the Eiffel Tower have been supplanted on walls, fridges, and indefinitely on her phone. The city of light has always been a favourite place of hers, having visited once with her family. However, during this trip she cut it short to visit a sick me and was left with only 1 day in Paris. I promised myself I would take her back and make sure it was unforgettable. My girlfriend (now fiancée!) is the most gracious person I know, and the most deserving of a dream proposal. Flytographer not only helped make her proposal dreams come true, but mine as well. We were able to share in a perfect moment and now can forever relive it with the gorgeous photos by Olga. Zach and Meg’s Love Story
We met in college in a photography class. Later that year I attended her final art show and the next day she sent a thank you letter with a donut!
Special location
Meg is such an amazing person, I felt she deserved the perfect place. She had never been to Paris and had been wanting to go for a long time!
The Big Day
The morning of the proposal we got up early and went for a walk down to the Seine. I had to try and come up with a cover because normally I bring a camera and I didn’t that morning. We paused at the location because I told her I wanted to see how it would look for photos. I had her turn around to “model” for me and that’s when I popped the question!
Marcus and Indiara’s Love Story:
Indiara and I met in high school our junior year and started dating our senior year. One day while still in our teens and in high school I jokingly said “Lets go to the courthouse and get married”. I knew she was the one when she looked at me with those big brown eyes and replied with “Ok let’s do it”. After going through a round of “are you serious?” I told her if we were still together in ten years then we will get married. Fast forward ten years and here we are.
Special location
We’d been planning a trip to Paris for a couple of years and I knew wanted propose in la ville de l’amour! It would make our trip even more intimate and memorable. Of course my initial plan was the Eiffel Tower in the background for that iconic shot that everyone loves. I searched and read stories of other proposals and saw a couple of shots in the Tuileries Garden. This location stood out to me because of the how the treeline puts a focus on the couple and you get a beautiful shot of the Louvre in the background. Since the Garden leads up to the Louvre it makes for a perfect location to get shots there too. Our concierge Liss showed some great examples for routes for the proposal and engagement photos that sealed the decision for this destination.
The Big Day
I presented the idea of a vacation shoot since it was our first trip to Paris.
I wanted Indiara to be picture perfect for this moment. I had a great video chat with Rachael our photographer and Liss our concierge where they both got a feel for the tone of the shoot, gave tips on how to propose, and what to expect.
We met with Rachael at seven in the morning. This was perfect time for the lighting , and no worry about a ton of people being in the Shoot location. We went to the proposal destination where Rachael took a couple of tests shots and gave me the signal. Once I finally got the hint (it took me a while) I turn to Indiara and say “Some people say the greatest parts of their life are moments. I get to wake up with the greatest part of my life everyday!”
I drop to one knee and Indiara asks “Are you serious?” I reach into my jacket pocket and pull out the ring box “Will you marry me?” I say as I open the red ring box
“Yes, of course” She replies. and I stand (against previous suggestion) to put the ring on.
From there we walked around the Garden and took some more photos and went to the Louvre to get more. It felt like we were two spy’s posing as models in Paris.
Jeremy and Lester’s Love Story
Lester and I met the ‘old fashioned way’ – on tinder. But we’ve been inseparable ever since. I’ve waited my whole life to find someone like him.
Special location
He lives in Paris and I’m moving there soon. The Bir Hakeim was the perfect setting to capture all the iconic gusto of this fantastic city!
The Big Day
I hired a ‘secret’ flytographer that pretended to take photos along the Bir Hakeim Bridge in Paris. I asked her to take a photo of us with my phone, and then she offered to take it with her professional camera, and once she gave me the cue I got down on one knee and asked him! She caught the whole thing on camera! Then we had a little photo shoot around the Seine before going to dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Such a magical evening!

Matt and Hunter’s Love Story
Matt and I (Hunter) met online six months ago. We quickly hit it off, I booked a flight on a whim to Newcastle, England where he lives, to meet him. We fell in love, and he came over to Rosemary Beach, Florida to live with me! Once his three months in America was up, we decided to come back to Europe and travel for six weeks. When we first met, I had mentioned that my dream was to get engaged someday under the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I never expected it would actually happen! For the last two months, he threw me off by changing the subject anytime I’d mention getting engaged or marriage. Meanwhile, he and my mom were planning my dream proposal with the most incredible ring (the main stone was from my mom’s engagement ring while the smaller diamonds around it was from my grandmother’s wedding band). As the trip got closer, he suggested we get a photographer (I’m a blogger so it wasn’t a surprise) for a little shoot. I ended up planning the whole proposal without knowing it. I saw Olga’s work online and fell in love with her style and was thrilled that she was available while we were there.

Standing there, looking out at the Eiffel Tower with the man I love, and then having this moment was the best experience of my life.
The Big Day
Thinking it was just a shoot for some cute Instagram photos, I went casual and wore an old pair of sneakers. The shoot went amazing, and about halfway through Olga asked us to do a pose with our backs turned away. I felt Matt wiggle, and when I turned around he was on one knee. It was the biggest shock of my life in the most magical way! I am so happy it happened the way it did and the whole thing was better than I could have ever imagined.
Matt’s Love Story
I knew that she was the one when I began making life plans with her in mind without thinking twice about it.
Special location
I wanted to select a destination that was iconic but not over done. I had plenty of ideas all throughout France, but given that we would only be in Paris for 4 days, the Palace of Versailles was the only choice for me.
The Big Day
When we arrived the weather was perfect. The sun was just beginning to rise and there was not a cloud in the sky. Maria (our photographer) was in position by the fountain as we had planned previously. I had brought my girlfriend (now fiancée) around the side of the palace to the gardens and back to the fountain. I had asked if Maria would be willing to take a picture of the two of us on our camera. When she got us in position, I proposed as planned. SHE SAID YES (as expected), and then we had a magical 60 minute long engagement photo shoot at a palace that was fit for the queen that my future wife is.
