1. Louis V up on Bond Street

In “London Boy,” Taylor asks her English boyfriend to show her around the city, adding it doesn’t have to be Louis V up on Bond Street, just want to be with you. So gather your besties and let’s take a trip up Bond Street!  😉

Bond Street is a half-mile road linking Oxford Street and Piccadilly, lined with luxury boutiques. 🛍️ At the northern end known as New Bond Street, close to Oxford Street, you’ll find Louis Vuitton plus other Taylor faves like Stella McCartney – who also gets a shout-out on “London Boy” when Taylor describes herself as a Tennessee Stella McCartney – and Prada. 👗

While you may not be shopping for your Met Gala gown, Bond Street’s classic building facades make for perfect photography backdrops. Pose in front of an iconic red telephone box across the road from Cartier during the day or return at night when the crowds thin out and the shopfronts are lit up for a magical scene. ✨

2. Strolling Around Soho

Soho (not to be confused with the New York neighbourhood SoHo) is the beating heart of bohemia in London. 🩷 With its many pubs, music venues and top-notch restaurants, it’s no wonder Taylor sang, I enjoy walking Soho, drinking in the afternoon in “London Boy.” During her relationship with Joe Alwyn, she was spotted in the glamorous dining hotspot Bob Bob Ricard, where guests can order champagne from cozy booths with the press of a button. 🥂

Soho boasts some of London’s most beautiful Tudor architecture, making it the perfect spot to pause for a photo 📸 (and a pint🍻). Check out the Three Greyhounds pub, the Tudor Cottage in Soho Square and the elegant Liberty store on Regent Street.

3. Pubs and High Tea in the West End

The West End of London is the central district to the west of the City of London, on the north side of the Thames. It’s not a neighbourhood but more of a general area. In terms of tube stations, think Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road. 🇬🇧

Packed with bars, restaurants and theatres, the West End is a must-visit if you’re touring the city. In “London Boy,” Taylor sings, And now I love high tea, stories from uni, and the West End. You can find me in the pub, we are watching rugby with his school friends.

High tea, also known as afternoon tea, is a fun and indulgent tradition that bridges the gap between lunch and dinner. Settle into a pretty pink velvet booth and enjoy a multi-course all-you-can-eat menu featuring British classics like Coronation Chicken sandwiches and fluffy scones with clotted cream. Bring your best mates and your camera — this Instagram-friendly hotspot is ideal for group shots with your squad. 👯‍♂️👯‍♂️

4. Strut Your Stuff at The Savoy

Blending history and modern luxury, The Savoy stands apart from other high-end London hotels. It’s the home-from-home for celebrities who, like Taylor, love the river views, five-star service and convenient West End location. 💫

Even if you’re not staying here, you can grab a cocktail from the Beaufort Bar, 🍸 where Taylor did a photo shoot for Vanity Fair, or indulge in afternoon tea in the hotel’s stunning glass-domed atrium. And it costs nothing to stand outside under the iconic gleaming Savoy sign for a five-star selfie. Book a Flytographer and you’ll have your own personal photographer to complete the scene! 📸

5. Big Ben Love Story

Nothing says “I’m in London” like the view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It’s easily one of the best places to take photos in London! ❤️ 📸

Try out the Taylor augmented reality Meet Me in London Snapchat filter (Easter egg from the Midnights album) for a whimsical twist on this popular shot. The best view of Big Ben is from Westminster Bridge, although it’s usually crowded with tourists and commuters. 🚲 But don’t stand in the bike lane during rush hour; getting hit by a bicycle hurts worse than heartbreak or a cruel summer (probably)!

Another great (and less crowded) vantage point is from the pathway under the bridge. Take the stairs leading down and you’ll find a great view of the famous clock tower and the River Thames.

6. Off-the-Beaten-Path “London Boy” Spots

“London Boy” name-checks many central London spots, like the West End, Bond Street and Soho, but Taylor also loves a local gem. 💎 If you have time and a tube map, check out some of these Taylor faves outside the city centre!

  • Camden Market: Far from Bond Street, Camden Market is the place to find vintage and retro fashion, delicious street food and one-of-a-kind souvenirs. 🧥🍮 🛍️
  • Highgate: This beautiful north London suburb is famous for its gothic cemetery and nearby Hampstead Heath.  Stop for a pint at the Spaniard’s Inn, where Taylor and then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn were reportedly spotted on a date.
  • Brixton: David Bowie grew up in the south London district of Brixton, so it makes sense that Taylor would be interested in the buzzy borough. ⚡️ Make the trip if you love authentic Afro-Caribbean food and a taste of London’s nightlife.
  • Shoreditch: This east London neighbourhood is home to Brick Lane, where you’ll find some of London’s best curry houses. It’s also a photographer’s dream, with colourful street murals, classic cobbled streets and a flower market for a romantic shoot. 🌈
  • Hackney: If you’re visiting Shoreditch, Hackney is another east London neighbourhood with fabulous eateries, beautiful green spaces like London Fields, and classic pubs. ❤️
