1. North Tybee Beach

North Beach on Tybee Island is home to a large portion of the island and boasts a wide range of historic attractions, unique eateries, funky shops, and glorious sandy beaches. Known as Tybee Island’s premium shopping district, it creates the perfect place for candid shots of you and your family enjoying some retail therapy.

This stretch of the island isn’t just perfect for shopping though, it’s also perfect for catching stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The pristine white sands, dune grass, and rolling waves create a picturesque backdrop for your photos. It’s one of the best photo spots for catching candid photos of your loved ones playing in the surf or watching the sunset on the horizon. North Beach will not disappoint.

2. North Tybee Lighthouse

Also known as Tybee Island Light Station and Museum, the North Tybee Island Lighthouse is a historical monument that offers some unique photo opportunities. Dating back to 1736, it’s the oldest and tallest lighthouse in Georgia. Climb 178 stairs to the top of the lighthouse and enjoy stunning views of the island, the Savannah River, and the surrounding coastal landscape.

3. Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion

Located right next to North Beach, Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion is not only a popular spot for fishing and leisurely strolls, but it’s also a great spot for capturing vivid and interesting photos. It was built in 1891 by the Central of Georgia Railroad, and it has become a well-known spot for unobstructed views and a meeting place for dances, musical performances, and special events.

If you catch any of these while on Tybee Island, you’ve got the perfect place to capture remarkable shots. The bright red roof of the Pavilion creates the ideal portrait photography backdrop. 4. South Tybee Beach

If you’re want to take some great photos on the beach, South Beach might be the perfect place. It offers a quieter, less crowded beach experience; for some, this is exactly what they are searching for. This serene stretch of sand is ideal for capturing peaceful, intimate moments with your other half or loved ones.

The South Beach boardwalk is a great location for a photo shoot, as leading lines in photography are great ways to make your photos a little more interesting and visually appealing. You’ll also be able to spot the Pier and Pavilion along with the ocean in the distance.

From capturing the gentle waves 🌊 lapping at the shore to photographing shorebirds in flight, South Beach on Tybee Island offers a tranquil setting for all your photography needs.

5. Inlet Ave Beach

Located at the southern tip of Tybee Island, Inlet Ave Beach is another brilliant Instagrammable location for your photos. It offers views toward the Back River, and its unique blend of marshland and shoreline creates a captivating landscape for all types of photography.

The beach is also a brilliant spot during sunrise and sunset 🌅 as the colors of the sky reflect off the calm blue waters, creating a truly breathtaking scene. The same can be said for photos taken against the vibrant green marsh grass and the waters of the sea. Inlet Ave Beach is a 15-minute drive to North Beach and would make the perfect end to your day trip to Tybee Island from Georgia.
