1. Sabino Canyon

Located in the Coronado National Forest, Sabino Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder worth visiting. The canyon boasts a stunning array of desert flora, including the iconic saguaro cactus, as well as being crisscrossed by streams and numerous hiking trails. ⛰️

Golden hour at dawn or dusk is the ideal time to capture this canyon bathed in golden hues, creating a magical atmosphere. This makes for one of the most stunning places to take photos in Tucson. While here, be sure to check out the National Historic Landmark of San Xavier Del Bac, a Spanish colonial Catholic mission built in 1783.⛪

2. Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park is divided into two distinct districts and is home to the iconic saguaro cactus. The Rincon Mountain District to the east and the Tucson Mountain District to the west offer beautiful views across stunning landscapes that make for great pics. 🏔️

Come and explore the hiking trails, see Gates Pass, and visit the nation’s largest cacti, all while soaking in the golden hues of sunset and capturing photos you’ll never want to forget. The park’s expansive vistas and striking desert flora make this one of our favorite places to take photos in Tucson, Arizona. 🌵

3. Catalina State Park

Catalina State Park is known for its diverse ecosystem of desert, grassland, and riparian habitats. Located at the base of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains, this spot in Arizona offers an array of photo opportunities that will leave you speechless. 🌳

From the beautiful wildflowers in spring to the dramatic mountain vistas, it’s a year-round destination you have to visit. While here, head to the nearby Oro Valley and Mount Lemmon, and hike the Canyon Loop Trail or the Romero Ruins Interpretive Trail for excellent photo vantage points. 🪻🌻

4. Barrios and Murals of Downtown Tucson

Downtown Tucson is a vibrant hub of art and culture complete with colorful barrios and urban murals adorning many buildings. The historic neighbourhood of Barrio Viejo is filled with adobe houses, narrow streets and charming courtyards that provide a rich backdrop for some urban photography. 🖼️

The colorful murals, lovingly painted by local artists, depict everything from Tucson’s history to contemporary themes, making them perfect backdrops for portraits or street photography.
